Day −699, 27.09.2023 – Kick-off completed

Chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Prof. Dr Daniel Potts, and in the presence of the Mayor of the City of Chemnitz (Department 1), Ralph Burghart, colleagues from Chemnitz University of Technology, Chemnitz City Council, the State Office for Schools and Education and other friends and supporters of the Mathematics Olympiads met for the kick-off event. The organising team was formed after groundbreaking discussions.

In anticipation of the influx of tourists to the European Capital of Culture 2025, securing accommodation for the MeMO participants and accompanying persons took priority.
